Election Schedule

Jefferson County, Tennessee, election cycle and voter information for 2026.

The 2026 Jefferson County Election Cycle currently contains three Elections.

Early voting is available to all voters in Jefferson County for all elections.

May 5: Jefferson County Primary will be Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Aug 6: State/Federal Primary and Jefferson County General Election will be held Thursday, August 6, 2026.

Nov 3: The State/Federal General Election and all Jefferson County Municipal Elections will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Polling locations in Jefferson County will be open on Election Day from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Early Voting Schedule

Beginning April 15, 2026

Weekdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Saturdays (April 18 & 25): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Closed Sundays

Early voting ends Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Jefferson County Primary will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Michael grew up in Jefferson City and White Pine and graduated from Jefferson County High School in 1984.

He is a graduate of LEADERSHIP JEFFERSON COUNTY and the East Tennessee Regional Leadership Program. 

He is a former member of the White Pine Lions Club.  He has been active in youth sports, serving as a coach for football, basketball, and soccer teams, and he served as a Tiger Cub Den Leader. 

Michael also served as the Secretary for the Jefferson County Republican Party’s Executive Committee.

Michael Phagan, CPA, CMFO, Baneberry City Manager, announced he will be seeking the office of Jefferson County Trustee in the May Republican primary.

Our neighbor and motivated City Manager, Michael Phagan will be entering the 2026 Jefferson County election cycle for the position of County Trustee.
